icesolation: (Like the swirling storm inside)
Character History
“Don’t let them see, don’t let them know” was the creed of Elsa’s life. Born with extraordinary ice powers, beautiful and harmful, she was taught to deal with it with poise and calm, suppressing it to the best of her ability. Still, the fear was so strong for she was not willing to step outside her own room and was continually terrified that she might hurt someone, especially someone she loves. Now, three years after her parents’ death, Elsa has not budged on this stance. Yet, deep down, she is unsatisfied with her role in life and her inability to express herself.

Elsa prefers the quiet corners to the loud parties, the long distance to being close to others. That does not mean she wishes to be lonely, only that she prefers a chance to be herself without consequences hanging over her head. With her own subtle sense of humour and court grace, Elsa carries herself like a queen, but when unleashed, she carries herself like a force of nature, strong, stubborn and ready to barrel through any obstacle. Deeply sensitive to the needs of others and constantly fighting between choosing others and choosing her own individuality, Elsa wants to let go, in a place where she is free of all obligations and opinions. Sultry and smooth, at peace with her powers, Elsa still possesses a fiercely loyal sense of caring but now she can be loyal to herself along with her powers, making her, once again, a force to be reckoned with. “The perfect girl is gone.”

My father was a good man. Who did his best to help someone beyond their abilities. At times, I think we could have benefited from another point of view. Like Anna’s. But the past is past and
I intend to look towards the future with certainty. Fear will no longer hold a cornerstone in my heart and the drive to be perfect is gone.

That being said, I am … definitely out of practice when it comes to meeting new people! So. Let’s start somewhere simple. Hello, I’m Elsa. Of Arendelle. And no, you don’t have to call me Queen Elsa. Let’s start small and be big.

With that being said, who’s ready for a snow ball fight? I’ll warn you now. I’m not going to hold anything back!

Log
Ah, chocolate.

Elsa held the cup gently in her hands. There was no tendrils of frost, no tell-tale signs of her powers creeping over. Just her human hands and the warmth of a cup. She sipped it daintily, as she was taught to. She was the Queen now and even while she had finally earned the freedom to be herself, she loved Arendelle too. The smell of cocoa drifted over and she couldn’t help grinning. Elsa was lucky to have both worlds now, something she has yet to stop feeling grateful for. Simple things like being able to have a cup of cocoa and not have the cup shatter in her hands, to be around people, watching them laugh and play in the snow. In the beauty of her powers. She couldn’t help the smirk that tugged on her lips as she watched people topple into piles of snow from the ice she placed on the sidewalk. A few tricks never hurt anyone after all.

But she was tired of watching. She placed the cup down and shrugged off her coat (it was for show these days. People worry too much when they see her without winter gear) and headed towards the park.

Sometimes, it was good to be Queen.
